Big Weekend

Its a big weekend....Hardrock & Wasatch Lotteries!!! Best wishes to all aspirants.

Personally, i wish lotsa Texans get into HR. It will be a hoot. Looking at the YOY applicants, the HR wannabes has increased considerably & trend is unlikely to plateau. During last evenings run, there was this thought of visiting Co Springs for Salida marathon, & spend a week there. I need to have that on my calendar, if not for a week, i will get the weekend runs. That would set the ball rolling for Big Horn Training.

I have a real good feeling about RR100. Though i have hit my "anti-social" week, i am not anxious like my earlier 100 milers. Great feeling. With most of the folks doing day trip to the park, no one has confirmed on pacing me. On worst case, i have Pete taking me through the last loop. Only thing i wish & would want to try is learning to sleep less on trail!!! Well, that's how it goes, & its all about crossing the finish line and making sure to have fun on the way & not to miss the beer in the end - that's a PS for all my alcoholic running buddies. ( 33 days no alcohol - going strong...)

With some good friends & imp. ppl in my life celebrating their Birthday around RR time, i am kind of dedicating this race to them. (will they bear the race expenses? pbly right way to get sponsored......)
