Soakin' Liver

For various reasons, (commonsense excluded, liver included which was screaming real bad at Puerto Rico) i had resolved not to drink beer until 3/31. Why 3/31 - no particular reason. 4/1 was the date to celebrate & drink for the comeback & ofcourse to say Howdy to fools within our community.

This night was meant to be long. And this night will be clearly etched in the memory of this gentleman, no names will be taken here, only for convenience sake and for better appreciation of sequence of events, i will call this monster of gentleman, whose will is as strong as a buttermilk pancake - Pete.

The binge drinking started as early as 5 pm at Woodrow's by Parmer. At end of my 3rd big glass of beer, i was warmed up well enough to handle the downtown bash starting at BD Rileys and crawling over to other pubs on 6th. As it had to be Pete had challenged me for "Beer for Beer" contest. Folks, show some class here and please pardon his naivety. I strongly believe in things taking its course, so did the contest.

Even before he realized we had finished good number of beer. For some reason, Mr. P was eagerly waiting for the clock to reach 2 AM. Well, i was relishing the fun, of slowly and steadily unsettling Mr. P nerve. He called his buddy for support. We had shots and the wagon moved to other pubs before ending the evening at Emos.

Anyway, fact is next time when he calls for beer contest, i promise he will think more than twice. After all not everyone can handle Beer.

Definitely good times.

PS: Took a long while to get sober & was completely messed up with flashes of recent memories coming to haunt back.
