Being Footloose..

When my employment snapped like a ill developed umbilical cord,i set myself a target for 2-3 weeks to land a another job. Landing a non consulting job within Austin is a challenge, especially when i have short time to fulfill the legal process. Lucky for me, i have dedicated friends who help in whatever way they can, providing leads, making checkpoint calls and some sharing their positive vibes. All's cool. I have got few leads, with couple leading to second round interview with Big 4 consulting. Since time is essence, i am simultaneously working out possibility of working independently for my friends company. I have couple of projects under finalization stage, at Houston and at Seattle. It all depends on how soon my H1 gets transferred. Will get clarity over the week.

I surprised myself with the way i am approaching this thing as "matter-of-factually". The day after i got out of employment, i was shopping for BMW for my friend. The same evening, i got trashed at party organized at Mr. J's. The party invite, a text message, was well written in a Shakespearean language. Could not ignore it. Got drunk & I ended up being chivalrous, let the ladies win at the Beer Pong. The night was long and fun! Good times.

Definitely my running has become a pale shadow of what it was early this year. But the interests has not waned. There has been some great performances by Austinites.& good performances are always contagious & helps to have your focus on. With much reluctance, started swimming and sauna this week. Sauna is the best way to get used to Austin heat. It was of great help last summer.

With so much free time at disposal i am considering going to Jemez;
1) to get drunk &
2) to see the kick-ass contest between JT and PM.

If am good punter, i will put my money on JT - he is going to finish the race 1 hour ahead of PM!!! (i am writing my death warrant)

Meanwhile, the search continues.
