Alls got something to say...

I was leading a comfortable & cozy lifestyle. The inertia set in & it was too much a comfort to let go. Nothing is permanent & change in lifestyle was imminent but for the moment with all the jazzy spotlights on me i was okay with it, until i was checked out. I contemplate whats happened over year and half. The journeys made, places covered, people i saw , rocks kicked, creek crossed, peaks scaled. Had opportunity to see some magnificent sun rises & never missed an opportunity star gaze or be in awe of a full moon. Felt excited getting drenched in water of American Basin, Tongue River or for that matter Barton Creek.

The every step was mixed with right amount of caution and exuberance. The primary intent being to seeing new places & experiencing something new. Decisions were made at cross roads how much ever painful. There were times when i had company & was hoping i can run along with them forever. But i embrace the bitter reality that every one is an explorer with their own path to choose. However he exploring has to continue, so many places to see & acquaintances to make. This journey, so far, has been worth a life time. The memories are well reflected by the grime and wrinkles & instinctive smile.

After 1800+ miles on my feet, i do not look like trail running shoe but a racing flat. My name is Brooks Cascadia. Isn't it what i am suppose to become after 1800+ miles on my feet. I am glad i was checked out of Rogue stores. One of these days, after getting few more miles, when i get trashed i will have plenty to think sitting under the big tree leading up some unknown peak on Great Himalayan Trail/ Probably once you scale up the peak, you can see clearly all the cross roads and the footprints both real and phantom.

I have lotsa places to go...before that i need some sleep.
